About

Jan graduated from  Brandenburg University of Technology in 2003. During his study he went on to learn different approaches in the renowned Universidad Europea in Madrid. During his early years he worked in Madrid, Hamburg, Berlin and Cottbus in various architectural and urban planning offices. After graduation he left Germany to find out more about other cultures and went to work in New Zealand for award winning practice Architectus. During the global down turn of 2008/2009 he had to leave New Zealand and was determined to use his skill for good during this difficult time for the sector and found a well suited position as the General Manager for a German NGO in Laos. He fell in love with the country and it’s people and decided to stay after his assignment was up and established himself as consultant.  His expertise translated perfectly to a diverse variety of assignments, both large and small scale: educational, residential, medical projects of various sizes quickly became part of his portfolio.

Now based in Colombo, Sri Lanka he is seeking to improve health care for the war ridden north of the country with global health care provider VAMED AG as project manager engineering for the construction of four hospitals of varying specializations..

A passion for architecture and the desire to create meaningful spaces is what brings Jan to do what he does. His work is further defined by inter cultural competence paired with a drive to motivate teams and other parties involved. He is offering a personal service with simple economic solutions that have a sustainable impact.
